For credit unions using Symitar PowerOn
Turn a PowerOn backlog item into a testable project.
Start with one read-only report, extract or bounded source change. Agree the output, the tests and the person who accepts the result.
Development begins only after source rights, a core-qualified reviewer and an authorized nonproduction environment are agreed. This page offers scoping and an illustrative test model.
Start with work the owner can accept.
Read-only reports and extracts
Record selection, exception queues, reconciliation inputs and recurring operational reports. Define the selection rules, totals, permitted output and review owner.
Existing source changes
Use source the institution is allowed to share and modify. Retain the predecessor, identify candidate callers and agree the regression tests.
Agree four delivery gates.
- Scope: written rules, exclusions, source rights and acceptance owner.
- Technical review: core version, privileges, dependencies and qualified reviewer.
- Runtime evidence: actual compile, execution and regression results from the authorized environment.
- Acceptance: business UAT, release decision, restore steps and support terms.
Core writes, integrations, notices and decisions about members require separate technical discovery.
Prepare the PowerOn project brief.
Choose a workflow and identify what is ready. Get a brief you can copy or download. This tool runs in your browser; it does not submit the brief.
Use workflow descriptions and synthetic examples. No source-code or member-data upload is offered.

Scoping aid only. This does not generate, compile, validate or deploy PowerOn, accept work, or promise a fee or schedule.
Agree the project scope before development.
The written quote names the deliverables, testing, qualified review, support and total customer charge.
Additional work, expenses and payment milestones require agreement before development begins.

Illustrative inputs, not a client. This browser model uses synthetic case labels and elapsed days. It defines expected workflow behavior; it does not run PowerOn.
Include open cases at least the declared number of days since the last touch. Keep missing ages, future touches and unknown statuses in the exception list. Exclude closed cases after input validation.
| Case | Status | Days since touch | Expected result | Reason |
|---|
Compare a declared result with the expected rows.
Choose which illustrative cases appeared in a declared queue and exception list. This is a preparation exercise, not an executed report. Record the mismatch, then try a matching result. Both attempts stay in the file.
| Attempt | Threshold days | Recorded comparison | Review needed |
|---|
Changing the threshold queues earlier attempts for another review. Drafts stay in this page until exported or closed. Runtime evidence, accountable reviewers and the institution decision remain blank in the packet.
Reopen an exported illustrative file.
Choose the full JSON from this bench. The file is read on this device. Export current work before replacing it. Use only the six illustrative cases; member records and completed institutional review fields are refused.
Choose an exported illustrative JSON file. Current work stays in place until you replace it.

Download the offline preparation bench. Extract the folder and open index.html. This portable evaluation copy needs no model or account; keep the supporting files together.
The handoff includes more than source.
Agreed rules and exclusions, versioned source, expected and actual test results, dependency review, open questions, UAT acceptance, restore instructions and support responsibilities.
The institution retains production release authority. Agree delivery prerequisites, timing and acceptance responsibilities before development.
Review limits and responsibilities are described in the method. Read the method.
The browser example does not generate, compile, execute or validate PowerOn. Those checks belong to the authorized core environment.
Send a general workflow description through the inquiry form. Confidential source and member data require a separate approved handling route.
Agree the total customer charge before development
| Written quote item | What must be explicit |
|---|---|
| Comparable work | Current quote, same deliverables, source rights, testing, support, exclusions and validity period. |
| Complete fee | Included engineering, review and testing; any additional charges, minimum fee and complete total payable. |
| Additional amounts | Tax, approved pass-through expenses and any separately agreed work. Unknown terms stay open. |
| Delivery gates | Qualified review, compile and regression, institution UAT, restore and release authority. |
| Commercial terms | Payment milestones, corrections, support, warranty if agreed, changed scope and cancellation. |
